• the script’s word count
• any reference audio/video to guide me (like pronunciations or sample voiceovers)
• a credit card, Paypal, or Stripe account

When ordering a voiceover, consider how you’ll use my voice.

For example: Will the recording be broadcast on radio? TV? online? Will it be for internal use? for personal use?

You’ll need to know upfront how you plan to use the recording in order to buy the appropriate usage rights. (Some rights are free.)

Next, ask yourself if you need me to synch my voice.

Examples include:

• recording within scripted timecodes
• synching a voice to a video
• dubbing a voice over another person’s voice in a video
• lipsynching to a video

Synching usually takes a bit more time and work to deliver.

If you don’t need precision timing, you simply need a “Standard Voiceover.”

Lastly, decide how soon you need me to deliver.

I offer a range of delivery times, from 4 hours to 5 days on shorter recordings.

I deliver most small orders within 2-3 days. Larger scripts may take more time. Long-form narration like audiobooks and elearning courses can take days to weeks depending on their length and my availability.  (I work fast, though.)

Once you have everything you need, you’re ready to order voiceover work!
